Event Overview

The 2013 International Association for the Philosophy of Sport conference will be held on the campus of California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) from September 4th to 8th, 2013. IAPS is committed to stimulate, encourage, and promote research, scholarship, and teaching in the philosophy of sport and related practices. This year’s annual conference provides a chance for scholars from around the world to present and share research in English, Spanish, and Japanese in sunny Southern California.

Although the detailed conference program is still being finalized, registration for the conference will begin on September 4th at 9:00 AM with opening remarks and the first session beginning after lunch. The last session and the banquet will be in the evening of September 7, leaving September 8th a free day to see local sites or begin travel home.

The conference hotel is the Fullerton Marriott at California State University, located on the CSUF campus and within a short walk of the conference venue. It also includes a pool, workout facility, and full restaurant and bar, with alternative dinning across the street. The Marriott is offering a block of rooms for the event at a discounted group rate and will include 2 free breakfasts with each room. Please book through the IAPS website to receive this deal
